Welcome to First Grade!

I am so excited to begin this exciting journey with your family. I look forward to a new class each year and anticipate all the exciting learning that will take place. I can't wait to meet you!
I love working with parents to see their child achieve their potential. As a part of this team, I encourage you to find a time (weekly or monthly) that you can come in and participate in your child's learning. By being active in your child's class you show them the importance of education, observe your child in a different setting outside of the home, see how your child is performing in relation to his/her peers, meet their friends, and stay connected with the skills, vocabulary and structure of first grade. I am so excited to be able to work with you this year.
My blog will be my main form of communication. On it I will post homework, upcoming events, important news concerning our class, educational links, bookorders, and much more. I usually update my post on the weekend for the following week. Please check it weekly.
I have so much more to tell you. Please be patient as I continue to send out more information as the school year approaches. I look forward to meeting everyone at our Open House on August 23rd from 4-6pm. Remember, school starts at 8:05 on Wednesday, August 24th. Come with smiles!!!
